ROME – Police are still looking for a 65-year-old Marshfield man with dementia who went missing Friday evening in Rome.

The Rome Police Department responded to a report of a missing person near the 1400 block of Rapids Trail at about 8:15 p.m. Friday. Family members of Dale M. Larson told police that he left his second home on Rapids Trail on his silver Trek bicycle between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. that afternoon.

Security footage shows Larson traveling north on 15th Avenue in the town of Rome at 3:17 p.m. Friday, according to police.

Larson is 5 feet and 10 inches tall. He weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing black bike shorts, and Under Armour gold/yellow shirt with a florescent green jersey over the top.

Police conducted an extensive search Friday evening that lasted into the early hours of Saturday morning. The search continued Saturday and Sunday with ground, air and water searches. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office sent out a silver alert Sunday at about 2:45 p.m.

Police request that homeowners check their property and unlocked buildings and vehicles for Larson.
