SAN ANTONIO – A man is now in jail after court document say he shot at another man, hitting him in the ear before robbing him at gunpoint.
According to police records, Kristopher Lopez, 32, drove up to the victim while he was walking back in late June. That’s when Lopez got out of his car, pointed the gun at the victim while trying to rob him.
The victim ran away from Lopez, the arrest affidavit states, but he chased after him and the two wound up in an alley. A brief scuffle ensued between both Lopez and the victim until at a certain point during the fight, Lopez reportedly shot at the victim, hitting him in the ear.
Afterwards, court records said the fight stopped and Lopez led the victim out of the alley and into the roadway, still keeping the gun pointed at him. Lopez once again tried to rob the victim, but he ran away and hid at his girlfriend’s house.
After months of trying to find and arrest the 36-year-old, investigators were able to finally apprehend him and is currently facing 1st degree felony charges for Aggravated Robbery.
