Police have identified a man who died at the hospital on Sunday after Phoenix police located him in a parking lot with a gunshot wound, according to officials.
At around 1:30 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired in a parking lot near 43rd and Clarendon avenues and located Gabriel Lopez-Felix, 43,with a gunshot wound inside of a vehicle, according to Sgt. Ann Justus, spokesperson for Phoenix police.
The man was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to Justus.
The investigation is ongoing and police are working to determine what caused the shooting, according to Justus.
