Three people were found dead inside of an apartment complex in Cincinnati’s Avondale neighborhood, police said Wednesday.

The bodies were found Wednesday morning inside of an apartment in the 3600 block of Irving Road.

According to Lt. Steve Saunders, the three people — two men and a woman — were found dead inside of the unit by a group of children.

The victims have been identified as Genaro Gray, 31, Javona Coleman, 30, and Darius Parker, 27.

All three died of apparent gunshot wounds, Saunders said.

“It’s a very disturbing scene, a very heart-wrenching scene,” Saunders said.

Saunders said that although the bodies were discovered Wednesday morning, it is likely the three were shot dead in days prior. Saunders said investigators are working to determine when the three people died.

“This is a small cul-de-sac type community apartments,” he added. “My guess is there’s a pretty strong bond between the residents of this area and the relatives.”

No suspect information was given, and Saunders said investigators are still working to determine a motive. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
