An armed robbery at a gas station turned deadly, and now an 18-year-old Palm Beach County man is charged with murder.

Ezequiel Gabriel Nunez was arrested early Saturday and accused of shooting 36-year-old Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Barthelemy at a Chevron gas station on Alternate A1A in Palm Beach Gardens about 10:30 p.m. Friday. She was pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was not an employee of the gas station, police said.

Nunez was being held in the Palm Beach County Jail without bond on charges of murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and destroying evidence, records show.

A resident of Palm Beach Gardens, originally from Kettering, Ohio, Barthelemy worked as an executive chef at Mayacoo Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, according to her Facebook page.
