Two women beat an employee of a Central El Paso grocery store after being asked if they paid for an item. Police Department detectives are asking for help in identifying the women through the Crime Stoppers of El Paso Crime of The Week.

On Monday, Aug. 3, just before 10 p.m., two women were shopping at the Food King Store located at 5514 Alameda Ave. As the women were leaving the store, an employee asked them if they had paid for an item in their shopping cart. 

According to the police, one of the women began to yell and hit the employee when asked about it. Soon after, the other woman also began attacking the employee. Both women punched the victim several times on the face. As a result of the attack, the employee went to the hospital for treatment.

Both of the women have a stocky build. The first woman is 40 to 50 years of age, and she had long black hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a black and white checkered blouse and black pants.

The second woman is in her late teens or early 20s and has shoulder-length hair. The second suspect was wearing a maroon t-shirt and blue jean shorts. The women fled from the store in a gray-colored pick-up truck similar to a GMC or Chevrolet with New Mexico license plates.
